Manufacturing is still at the heart of the UK with 8% of jobs, 2.7 million in total, £186 billion of economic output, or 10% of the UK total, 44% of UK exports, worth £274 billion. Building upon the proud industrial heritage of the Black Country, the Elite Centre for Manufacturing Skills (ECMS) is an employer led training facility providing an innovative solution to the high value manufacturing training needs of the sector.
Due to the highly skilled nature of the sector there has always been difficulty in developing and attracting new talent to the industry, this workshop will help to provide companies with realistic training options for their staff, as well as learning how best to attract new talent to their workforce.
The event is open to all Manufacturing and cast metal industry companies.
